Confucius advocated strong family loyalty, ancestor worship, respect of elders by their children and husbands by their wives.  He is famous for the words "Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself." Confucius (551–479 BCE) was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher who is well documented in Chinese history.
